Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends are delighted to have been chosen as the charity of the year by Le Pisani, a popular local Mediterranean restaurant. Le Pisani originally specialised in authentic Maltese cuisine created by Chef and business partner Ray Pisani.

Over time, the menu has evolved with input from the talented team to offer a broader, healthier Mediterranean selection. The owners of the restaurant are now Rosabelle and Darren Caruana. “We are thrilled to support the League of Friends, said Darren Caruna from Le Pisani. As neighbours, we’ve seen the incredible work they do for the Seaton community, and we wanted to be part of that journey.”

Le Pisani has generously pledged to donate £800 across the next year, and this partnership will help fund vital services, including specialist palliative care through Seaton Hospice at Home. Amongst the other services offered, Chelle Walsh – Bereavement and Befriending Service Co-ordinator said “The League has supported and enhanced the care and welfare of users of health services in Seaton and the surrounding area for over forty years. We are very fortunate to have a team of dedicated trustees, staff, nurses and a growing network of volunteers to deliver a host of services and groups to our local community such as Seaton Hospice at Home that we fund 100%, Bereavement Friends, Befriending and Memory Café.”

Kirstine House, CEO of Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends, added, “We are absolutely delighted Le Pisani has selected us as their charity of the year. Building strong relationships with local businesses is vital for us, and this partnership will also benefit our volunteers, giving them the chance to enjoy Le Pisani’s wonderful cuisine. As a charity, we rely entirely on the generosity and goodwill of our local community,” Kirstine continued.

“Partnerships like this enable us to continue delivering essential care and support.” Darren added, “Alongside our own contributions, we’ll be encouraging our customers to donate to the League of Friends and help sustain the vital services they provide.”
