We could not fund and support the services we provide without the help and support of our dedicated and friendly team of volunteers.
In the Hospital
Volunteers in the hospital help to maintain the gardens which give so much pleasure to staff, patients and their families.
Charity Shops
The League has two very busy charity shops which are open six days a week. Volunteers serve customers, sort donations, steam clothing, price donations and display donations.
Fundraising Support
Supporting our Fundraising Team –
Volunteers meet regularly to organise fundraising events and attend events throughout the year.
Support of Nurses
We are looking to build a team of volunteers who, after training, will support our palliative care nurses. We are initially looking at bereavement support.
It is only with your support, generosity and goodwill that we can continue to provide the services we do, and look to expand into other areas.
Information Hub
The League is in the process of establishing an Information Hub in the town. You could be part of our new team to greet people who drop in, offer information on local services and have a chat about what we do.
