Would you like a job where everything you did made a real difference to your local community?

That is what happens when you work at our League of Friends shop, the face of our charity. We are a quality retailer with care and support built into everything we do. With us, every sale is raising funds to support the lives of local people.

For 40 years, The Seaton and District Hospital League of Friends has been proudly supporting local people, initially with the building and running of the community hospital serving Seaton, Colyton, Beer and neighbouring villages. As well as having provided funds for a new hospital ward, and items of medical equipment, the charity now supports various services in the community, including a social support group, memory café, bereavement service, and has for the past 13 years funded a dedicated Seaton Hospice at Home service which provides specialist palliative care at home to those living with a life limiting illness.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Operations Manager to co-ordinate the retail activity of our retail stores in Seaton and help them to achieve their full potential.  You will be leading the teams of staff and volunteers to ensure targets are met, and excellent customer service is delivered to our customers.

You will have developed management and leadership retail skills to run the shops and motivate and inspire the team, in addition to leading and developing the volunteer skill base. Your goal will be to create a positive and engaging environment for both customers and staff, ensuring the stores achieve sales targets and deliver a superior shopping experience.

We are looking for someone who will embrace our culture, lead and guide the team with ambitious positive attitude and enthusiasm, and with a natural ability to inspire.

As well as the opportunity of joining an organisation where you will be making a real difference, we offer the following benefits:
